At TheInsectShop, we take great care to ensure all invertebrates are healthy, safely packed, and shipped with their wellbeing as our highest priority. Please review the following policy to understand our guarantees and what to do in the unlikely event of issues on arrival.
Shipping Policy

All orders are packed securely to minimise stress and ensure safe transit.

Live invertebrates are shipped only on days and via methods that maximise their safety (e.g., avoiding extreme weather).

Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel upon delivery.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

If any invertebrate arrives deceased, you must notify us immediately upon delivery.

Clear photographic evidence of the DOA must be provided in its original packaging at the time of unboxing.

Notifications received later than the day of arrival may not qualify for replacement under our guarantee.
Live Arrival & 3-Week Live Cover Guarantee
We proudly offer a three-week live cover guarantee for all invertebrates purchased from TheInsectShop.
This guarantee covers:

Unexpected death of any invertebrate within 21 days of arrival.

Issues relating to hidden health problems present before shipping.
To qualify:

The invertebrate must have been housed in appropriate conditions for its species.

Proof of suitable enclosure setup may be requested.

Clear photographs or video of the deceased specimen must be provided.
What Is Not Covered

Death due to improper care, unsuitable housing, or failure to follow species-specific requirements.

Issues caused by extreme temperatures at the delivery address if the customer requested shipping during unsafe conditions.

Delays caused by the courier.
